Who is O.F.F ? We are a group of organic farmers who have adapted the name Organic Friends of the Future in an effort to create a society that advocates and promotes sustainable, organic agriculture.
The farmers are Fred Reid, chicken, pigs and vegetables, Brad Reid, chicken and pigs, Alyson Chisolm, goats, chickens, veggies, Sharmin Gamiet, chickens and veggies, Susan Davidson, veggies, Aimee Watson, veggies and Rod Reid- feeds.
Wild salmon tastier than farmed, poll says

Sixty-nine per cent of British Columbians prefer the taste of wild salmon over farm-raised, and 72 per cent believe that eating the wild product is better for the environment than eating the farmed, according to a public opinion poll released today.

"Ottavio is hosting our second Estate olive oil tasting with new harvest premium oils from Italy (from north to south), southern France & California. The tasting includes an introduction to olive oil quality & production by Andrew, an organized tasting of at least 24 extra virgin olive oils, dessert & Illy caffe for $15. The tasting will be on Thursday April 22nd at 7:00 at Ottavio (2272 Oak Bay Avenue). Call 592-4080 for reservations by Visa or come by the shop (592-4080). The first tasting last month was very interesting and warmly received by all that attended. Limit to 35 people."
