The summer farmers markets are opening this and the next weekend all over the Lower Mainland

East Van Opens May 15th
As we turn the pages of the calendar, we realize that, yes indeed, we are very close to Opening Dates. Start counting the days. Everyone's favourite East Vancouver (a.k.a. Trout Lake) Farmers Market will open on Saturday, May 15th at 9:00 with a fantastic line-up of vendors. Gardeners will have 14 home-based nurseries to choose from with an assortment of unusual annuals, perennials, native plants, vines, seeds, pond plants, hardy palms and bananas, roses and plenty of veggie starters including heritage varieties. Those of you looking for the more immediate pleasure of taste will find an assortment of salad greens, early vegetables and asparagus (depending how the weather continues!) lamb, seafood and beef to name a just a few.

We know that opening day is an opportunity to re-acquaint yourself with those you've missed from last year, but don't forget to look around the market and check out the new faces and the special items they bring forth.

New Hours for Nat Bailey Stadium Market
After a winter of review, we have decided to open the Nat Bailey Stadium Market on Wednesday, June 16th at 1:00.We will remain open until 6:30 until mid-September, and then close at 6 pm until October 27th - our last day. We're opening earlier as a result of shoppers asking for an earlier opening and to allow more school children to come to the Market as a part of a field trip. We look forward to seeing many of you again as well as many new faces. Please tell your friends about this market to help us keep it going strong!!

New Home for West End Market
After years of looking for a new home, the West End Farmers Market is moving to Comox Street next to Nelson Park. We are very excited about this move as it will give us room for growth, more visibility and a place to hang out and visit with friends and neighbours. Come on out and join us on Saturday, June 19th from 9:30 to 2 pm for a grand opening!!

There are two markets in North Vancouver opening May 8, one at the Lonsdale Quay and another one at Seymour Markets.

Space available for Farmers, Prepared food, Crafters, Musicians & Entertainers. Open on Saturdays from 10 am to 3 pm, May 8 - November 27, 2004.
