Job Ad #1: Three Positions for Farm Workers
Tasks:
- maintain quality control of produce
- put out price lists on a weekly basis
- cooler management: rotation of stock, organization of orders, keep tidy
- filling orders: packing boxes and making up pallets
- taking orders (phone and fax)
- crop management: harvesting, planting, weeding, irrigating, pest management
- maintain harvest shed in organized fashion
- deliver produce - driver’s license required (possible work at farmer’s markets)
- six day work week up to 10 hours/day though schedule varies throughout season
- season: early April till end October

Requirements:
- healthy and fit (heavy lifting required and long hours of physically demanding work)
- personable and good on the phone
- able to work as part of a team
- good management skills
- basic book keeping skills an asset
- ability to work with minimal supervision
- able to learn quickly
- able to make decisions and take initiative
- able to work long hours and under time pressure
- sense of humour
- preference given to a working couple
