Otesha BC Tour

An exciting new initiative - the Otesha BC Tour - will be riding, supporting and instigating a wave of change across the province this fall!

This September and October, the Otesha BC Tour will travel from Prince George to Victoria, delivering interactive and inspiring environmental education programs at schools and in communities along the route.

The 21 youth volunteer members of the BC Team will travel by bicycle (the ultimate “pollution solution”!), seeking to model sustainable living while engaging their peers in a dialogue about how contemporary environmental and social issues relate to our every-day actions and decisions. One of the tour's major areas of focus this year is food. In particular, we will be promoting a shift to organic, locally-grown foods.

The BC Tour will be using theatre, workshops, story-telling, art, dialogue and fun to encourage people to think about how every choice we make affects the earth and its inhabitants. Every day, each and every one of us shapes the world we live in. By making simple, tangible changes to the way we shop, eat, and travel, we can all work towards making the world – our world - exactly what we want it to be!

To find out when the BC Tour will be in your area, get involved or support to the tour in any way, please contact Brook Land-Murphy and/or Erica Mah, at (250) 361-9625, bctour@otesha.ca
