Another Conventional Store Creates Its Own Organics Line

The organic revolution is definite underway.

Seven years ago I used to commute by bus for sometimes ups to four hours with my eldest son to seek out stores who sold certified organic food.

Now today I can travel by foot in minutes (sometimes quicker if I am running after my children!) to a selection of stores who sell organic food. This is because more and more of the conventional food stores are carrying organic foods and even developing their own house brand (Note: as a reminder one of the tips I shared in the book is to look out for house brands as great sources of organic pricing.)

Today I confirmed in person another company has released its own organics brand.

It is called ‘O’ Organics – food, by nature and the vendor is Safeway!

On my visit I personally saw samples of ‘O’ organics items like salads, salad dressing, pasta sauce, pasta, chicken broth, maple syrup, tea, ketchup, pinto beans, beef burgers, lasagna, extra virgin olive oil, yogurt, orange juice, frozen corn, frozen spinach, frozen blueberries, frozen mango, bread, eggs …

Some prices are very good indeed – some are not (I will help you kept abreast of what is a good price) – overall, the good news is there is increased availability for organic food in the market place giving all of us conscious consumers increased opportunity to buy delicious, nutritious foods.

Let the revolution continue!
