Organic Certification in Canada; Organic Imports from US

[color=006000]I was wondering if anyone has done any looking into wether organic imports from the US are screened to meet Canada's )apparently higher) standards of organic certification?
Or does the Canadian government simply allow imports of US certified organic food to be labelled the same in Canada?[/color]
